On this project I really learned about the true art of beings and creatures in mythical settings. The surreal artists, like Sigmund Freud, behind the advancement of magical worlds and animals led interesting lives that led to the blooming of such surreal places and animals really inspired me to try a twist on my own favorite animal, the scorpion. It really let me witness the true power behind editing software that can allow true artists to thrive.
I was rather pleased with how my Mango Fish turned out. I'm absolutely terrible at drawing animals, so the fish was an obvious choice due to their simple structure. It was rather easy using clone stamp tool, and was a good creature to follow up on.
This is by far one of my favorite pieces I made all semester. I believe scorpions are powerful, symbolic, and incredibly interesting creatures, so I did a twist on them, encasing them in crystals and stone. The result was the Crixalis Scorpion, who dwell in hostile habitats such as my previous Landscape. It turned out nicely, and I really enjoyed this picture more than most of my other paintings for the whole semester.
