On these assignments I really got to know and understand artistic software that is used today, specifically Corel Painter and Photoshop. It really helped catapult me into the class and get me that fun, interesting feel Digital Arts would continue to uphold through the semester.
This was my first digitally rendered art ever. I am pleased with how it came out for my first piece of art, but I still have a tick about the fuzzy background stars and the too-uniform colored stars.
Here I was mostly trying to do a richer, deeper color scheme that I tend to be drawn towards. I really like this one, as I just feel the contrast is very eye-catching and fun to look at. I could've done work on the stars though.
The moon on this is my favorite part of this picture. I tried to go with a Saturn feeling, but I really don't like the dullness and grainy effects that resulted from my face on the planet as well as the rings.
This is by far my favorite of the Space Scapes as well as the one I tried the hardest on. I love the orange-teal contrast that gives off a very spacial feeling, as well as the blurred edges of the planets, giving off a deeper celestial look. An Event Horizon is the edge of a Black Hole which is the point where light can no longer escape, by the way.
